It's shorthand for people like Ezra Klein, the type of morally bankrupt asshole whose reaction to Kirk's death wasn't "great, now I never have to hear from that racist again" but instead, "this racist was doing things the right way"

It's not snobbery to call out someone for defending racists

The writers and editors for these horseshit pieces are operating at a level of idiocy not seen since the "Boy, someone *really* hates these cans of oil!" scene from "The Jerk"

I started crying, actually crying, when (spoiler alert) they connected the cable at the end of episode 3

A quick trick I've found is to assume anyone defending MTG is either stupid or evil - it's got a 100% success rate thus far, I'm not expecting that number to go down

"wet paint" kills me every time, it's so good

I assume Jack Link would represent God the Father in this scenario but I'm drawing a blank on who'd be the Holy Ghost

Just in case anyone is thinking "There's no way any English language publication would be fucking dumb enough to print something that ludicrous"

I bet she won’t make any more racist comments, that shows growth

How hard did they take it when you had to inform them Kellogg’s doesn’t make a tuna+beans Pop Tart?

I knew there was a reason they call it the Red Tape Planet

Can I interest you in a 37-year-old Sparky Anderson

This is far more internally consistent than whatever the hell these freak shows have going on upstairs, lol

I wasn’t sure if that other person was a troll or just a well-meaning idiot so I decided to be overly credulous lol

Yes that was also my point. The Catholic voters are the problem. Not all of them; I am Catholic (there were issues of consent with that process - very on-brand for that group) and I didn’t vote for Trump. But this is happening due to the collective will of American Catholic voters.
December 21, 2025 at 4:07 PM
I don’t agree with the interpretation that my statement meant “every single Catholic voted for Trump” lol. “As a whole” doesn’t mean “every individual acted the same way” to me, but it might be poor writing on my part. I believe my intended meaning was clear but apparently I’m wrong.

I know LOTS of Christians who voted against Trump. Those Christians are unfortunately a minority of their congregations.
December 21, 2025 at 12:34 AM
If every American Christian had stayed home on Election Day, Trump would have lost the election.

You’re trying to pull a #NotAllMen to defend the majority of Christian voters, lol
December 21, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Oh no argument there - the problem we have is that American Catholics, on balance, like Trump enough to vote for him by a comfortable margin.
December 21, 2025 at 12:30 AM
I’m talking about Catholics, the reason why is because the original post specifically said Catholics.

In addition to poor reading comprehension, you’re also incorrect on the substance of your post - mainline Protestants went for Trump.

Religion and the 2024 Presidential Election
The 2024 presidential election’s preliminary exit polls show that the U.S. religious vote largely broke along expected lines. White evangelical Protestants remain the most vital religious constituency...
