I think it looks great. I've seen the same advice on pixel art tutorials and my assumption is that it's to encourage dithered shading techniques and break up color banding, but if you lean into a more stylistic look I think it can work really well.

After being a lifetime PC gamer, I switched almost exclusively to playing console when I started working from home. Beyond just being easier to separate game time from work time, being able to not be in my office chair in the same position almost every waking hour felt better.

No but it sounds like a great idea. I'm only about a year into learning 3d but already starting to run into an issue of looking back at an old project and having no idea how I accomplished parts of it.

Like I'd see a cool movie or have a good weekend and there'd be a new Phylum of animals, a bonus continent, trees would be carnivorous for a while as I just tried messing with an old creation, and a handful of new elements would pop into being and I'd just kind of hope they weren't radioactive.

It's fun to imagine god as an artist. So what made him look at the universe and go "meh, good enough"? If I was good certainly there would be periods of inactivity when I was depressed or uninspired, but you can bet every few centuries a bunch of weird shit would pop into existence.

It's been decades since they got the "smartest boy in the world" treatment. Now they're just aging dorks most people publicly dislike. Seems like they're chasing that Whiz Kid high and picked and very stupid scam to go all in on.
