If an insurer is denying a THIRD of the claims they receive, including valid claims they eventually approve after lengthy appeal, that means they are preventing care from happening. That kills people.
They are driving prices up so you need them, then refusing to pay for things they should pay for.

When I say bribes, I mean legal greasing of palms and campaign funding.
That’s all of them.
And it isn’t illegal. And it won’t be, ever.
And they won’t ALLOW the ones against them to win. Ever.
It’s not about “easy.”
I’m saying it LITERALLY CANNOT BE DONE.

I asked a question. Answer it.

Game this out:
A majority of lawmakers would have to vote to pass laws that would negatively impact huge insurance companies that regularly bribe way more than a simple majority of them.
How can that work? How do you vote to fix that when almost ONLY those with that kind of funding can get elected?

Our reps and senators are funded by and invested in these corporations. The corps OWN them. They will NEVER vote against their own financial interests. This also includes most Democrats.
Local elections have no impact on federal regulation; they DO matter, but not at all for things like this.

They aren’t evading 99.9% of the stuff. Nobody is claiming that.
December 9, 2024 at 11:39 PM
Again. Fight *how?*
December 9, 2024 at 9:25 PM
Yes, I’m aware of this. That’s why I said we can’t just vote this problem away.
December 9, 2024 at 7:59 PM
Dead men, women and children don’t count as humans if they aren’t citizens. Got it.
December 9, 2024 at 7:58 PM
But there’s *no avenue to fight for that.*
How could this possibly work?
December 9, 2024 at 4:21 AM
If someone takes actions that kill thousands of people, do you think it’s reasonable to expect people not to hate that person? This is not a rhetorical question.
December 9, 2024 at 4:19 AM
How evil. They’re human beings.
December 9, 2024 at 4:17 AM
What are you talking about? I didn’t vote for this mess. Neither did the person you were replying to. Who are you claiming voted against their best interests?
December 9, 2024 at 4:17 AM
You know, I probably did. Thank you.

Better times ahead for us all, I hope.
December 8, 2024 at 10:10 PM
Who are you talking to? Do you think the person you replied to was voting for this?
December 8, 2024 at 10:05 PM
And if they cancel it, they have no affordable way of paying for those things the coverage *is* paying for.
December 8, 2024 at 10:01 PM
What? You’re hearing about an insurance company screwing over paying customers and somehow you’ve redirected your anger toward … the poor?
December 8, 2024 at 9:57 PM
It’s possible to have private companies coexist with a public option. They’d have to offer better results or a lower price than the public option to get any customers, but competition is good, right?
December 8, 2024 at 9:57 PM
You all do the same thing to any veteran who disagrees with you. Y’all lionize Ollie North ffs.
December 8, 2024 at 9:49 PM
Which will be a bit hard when the Supreme Court is also owned by the corporations.
December 8, 2024 at 9:45 PM
I’m not a “both sides equally bad” guy. But real change on this would also require lawmakers to not be funded by billionaires and corporations, which would require laws banning that, which would require THOSE SAME LAWMAKERS to ban it since they are the vast majority of lawmakers regardless of party.
December 8, 2024 at 5:58 PM
A ton of us did vote accordingly. We only get to try every two years at most. That’s a lot of deaths due to unjustly denied claims between every election. I genuinely don’t think it’s right to kill someone. But what action do we expect people to take when corporations control all the legal options?
December 8, 2024 at 5:29 PM
You almost never get to see this with modern smart tvs and streaming services. Netflix typically cancels after the second trimester at the latest.
December 8, 2024 at 5:18 PM
They are very very clearly pursuing it with FAR more effort than they afford normal people.
