I used to care about USPS, but literally the only thing they carry to my house is junk mail.

And it’s been that way for close to 10 years now. I’d cut it and be done with it. Maybe provide a free cell connection for low income people to receive official correspondence over.

ST is theoretically working on that in France.

Is the “investor” in the lawsuit a mad Nike stockholder over the waste or someone that bought virtual beanie babies?

Eh, it’s not like this is worse than the rest of the canon in terms of logic or character.

They could do the Simpsons thing and just say a wizard did it.

That is as off base as the crypto bro types complaining about their crime coin. Bizarre connection to make to actual human beings.

Eh, he did not support Trump and stated it publicly.

Which is not the same as opposing (supporting and speaking for Kamala would be a lot more liberal) but is a pretty big change from his normal dumping money on the GOP.

How is Christopher Cross - Sailing not the number 1 song on that list.

It has the the vibe and literally includes a yacht in the music video.

Knee injections and pain killers are usually the first line before replacement.

Usually the goal is to only do replacement once.

Does the US action during WWI and WW2 not count? The US even engaged in some dumb wars for the sake of European colonial ambitions.

Like I get that it is a long at adding partnership the US should stay in. But to say the US did nothing…

In the long term batteries fail and hardware breaks, so it was always going to be emulation.

But Nintendo’s history with pulling games people own and trying to sell again is less appealing.

I think theaters that do cheaper tickets + have an extensive menu are the more compelling item.

You can get a nice dinner entree for around what theaters charge for popcorn.

I’d love to see a tapas movie theater.

Love how it takes the article 5 paragraphs before saying the 1 sentence descriptions for what the term is.

And it is one they had existed since the 90s. But I guess fashion and terminology can come back in step?

The assassination attempts that were minimally planned lone-wolf types kind of removed any aura of competence from the secret service already.

Has anything good come out of block chain other then a bunch of really hilarious frauds and money laundering.

You’re talking about an inefficient add-only database.

It probably comes from the same place as “everyone should bicycle 15 hours a week” or “everyone should spend an hour knitting” to relax.

Religion totally works for some people (or fits socially). But it’s not going to fix any issues.

The article specifies they are cutting down citrus and replacing with planned housing developments. There won’t be fruit to pick, the company is ceasing that business.

I had not realized Florida is down 90% from peak citrus production.

Would they consider banning fentanyl use on public transit in Portland?
April 19, 2025 at 6:31 AM
Is it strictly a problem that crypto kind of exists for fraud? Like is it worse than all the gambling that also hurts people.

Ideally you’d ban both but crypto is pretty straight forward in being crime first.

Supposedly that was fixed around 2014. I think they also switched to timing chains.

I’ve not owned a newer Subaru but have had the pleasure of having the air conditioner detonate and shred a bunch of the electronics around the same time the head gasket went out (Impreza).

Good thing nobody lives in Portland and needs clean drinking water….

I think we’re on 20 years of analysis consistently showing that shoveling money at sports billionaires doesn’t grow the local economy.

But fixing actual livability issues is hard so I guess they can slightly enrich the wealthy scions who own a MLB team instead.

Current situation is according to plan. There are a few Trump Was Right About Everything signs.

It seems a bit extreme of they were literally purging women and minority groups.

That said - we’d need to know department makeup now. Some professions are women dominated to an extreme extent. Maybe 3/4 were women.

There is always the chance for a new 20+ year war in the Middle East. In addition to nuclear proliferation.
