I completely forgot to reply, oof. I’m not sure I worded my previous post correctly, what I meant was, we’ve had switch 1 games with nothing but a license key on the game cart. Lots of switch 1 game reviews would (understandably) complain about this constantly. Nintendo even had box labels for it.

But this was already the case for switch games? And most physical games made in the last decade?

As for my purchased music. It's all ripped CDs or digital purchases from Qobuz or Bandcamp in the form of flac files sitting on my NAS and OneDrive being streamed to me via Plexamp on my phone or foobar2000 on my PC.

Spotify's killer feature that not even apple has fully recreated is when any device on your account is playing audio, every other device becomes a remote. If someone would combine that with airplay/sonos style multi output and Hi-Res, it would be unbeatable.

Spotify's "very high" quality is still a quarter the bitrate of a CD. Tidal, Apple, and Qobuz have 24-bit Hi-Res releases that are triple the bitrate of a CD but horrendous windows apps, compared to all the weird shit Spotify has shoved itself into over the years.

After 8 years of Spotify, the last three of which I spent trying to move to Apple Music, Tidal, and Qobuz, I've finally settled on using Spotify for music discovery and then buying albums on either Qobuz or bandcamp to listen in Hi-Res because I have cursed knowledge of how good music could sound
