But changing course from a fitness-oriented social media platform to also being a training/analysis platform is gonna be really hard.

Yeah. That's the only logical solution. Use something else as a data hub or sync your 3rd providers directly.

If people aren't allowed to delegate permissions for their own Strava data to other providers, why use Strava as a data hub?
