my plush version of Arianna from @thestarfishface.bsky.social's webcomic Castoff-comic.com arrived today and is already making friends. while it's hard to read their expressions i do think Yagasdottir, Stride, and r0t0r are happy to have a new friend.

it's the shrike's secret form that you have to be truly wary of lest it sneak up on you

getting ready to cut up an old trunk and listening to World Burns To Death, Big Black (the 80s band), The Freeze, Skinny Puppy, and Einstürzende Neubauten. oldies i hadn't heard in a while somehow seem right for taking apart a trunk that's too battered to be useful anymore. (pic from 2020 unrelated)

Fulfillment Centaur (partially dismantled) is moving to a new space.
Fulfillment Centaur stands in a shiny steel and concrete space, two dark grey reinforcing bars criss-cross behind its back. sometimes i draw them, or at least sketch them out, sometimes i build them.
like this was a ship design of the 200 ton trader ship Nadezhda for a Traveller game i designed for a friend and then built a model of it at 1"=2 meters miniature scale.

the hemispheres are ready, presently fabbing the support structure that the limbs and hemispheres attach to.
using a mix of scrap metal and junked lab equipment.
the main legs could fold up and retract inside.
but i don't have the budget to add motors.

unfortunately lately my mouse is a 5" angle grinder
or a welding gun, and my chair is a scaffold or ladder
it's still good advice though
at least in my case i get to move my back a lot...

i mean....
Elon Musk on a boat soaking wet wearing only a pair of black shorts. His flesh is a blinding fish belly white and his torso is weirdly boxy and protruding. From the side his face profile is rather flat with slitted eyes and his mouth turn slightly downward at the end giving it that rather troutlike appearance it usually has
