According to the 2025 Democracy Index, only 25 countries - accounting for only 6,6 percent of the World’s total population - are considered full democracies. The U.S. is no longer considered part of these.

Have we reached peak aid? Despite committing to mobilise $300bn a year at COP29, several European countries have announced significant cuts in ODA-financing for increased military spending. UK&FR -40%, DE -$1bn+, NL -€2.4bn,FI - €1.2bn, SE -$300m, CH -$282m. Not to mention the -$58.4bn USAID budget.

U.S. federal agencies are requested to shut down programs promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. Workers are told to report any disobedience to a Government email adress created for this sole purpose. History is full of dark examples with citizens forced to report on each other.

This one received less media coverage but will have disastrous consequences for millions of people.
