The invasion actually happened in July 2012, then the Scarce Tortoiseshell population stayed a couple of years before moving on so for Sweden, that map mixes the pre-2012 population with those that established during the invasion

Having mentioned trap tweaks, here are the two that I have made to my Robinsons:
1️⃣ a duct-taped petrol funnel that reduces the funnel opening
2️⃣ black plastic to cover the transparent lid so that moths keep calm inside

One thing that we have done to tweak Robinsons is to duct tape black fuel funnels (without the spout and with the lower end cut if necessary) to the Robinson’s funnel. That reduces the entrance to 1-1,5 inch or so and still allows sphingids to enter but much fewer moths escape
