Much needs to be done, all of it urgently. I'm happy that I was able to do my small part by introducing some 5,000 students to "Capital", over the years. To the point where they can define surplus value.

You are correct. The kids are alright. I saw the students and their attitudes over the course of 20 years.
The ones who were not alright were the ones who had been socialized into the red or blue cults.

There was a time when both parties were afraid of the democratic base. But both parties joined forces and destroyed it. The memory of brutal, violent defeats of the people's movements still defines what is "possible."

The parallels with 1933 just keep piling up. Fascists got away with insurrection & murder in Weimar, always with the protection of their many friends in government, business, and military. Then those same people went on to do mass murder as government policy.

As someone who has spent many years of pretend playing with children, I can absolutely picture this train hauling ten thousand kilo Watt; all neatly stacked in crates. That was in fact my first thought when I saw the layout. 😊
