The scramble to get him off the ballot, the fawning endorsement appearances, and strictly-on-message op-eds are all tokens of the Trump campaign leadership’s humiliating climbdown from its opening strategy for this race. I don’t suppose you’ll read that in a US newspaper, but it seems evident to me.
