(The version of the song in the intro lives rent-free in my head all these years later)

Yeah, I was shown Eyes on the Prize in my African-American history class in high school.

To be clear, I’m not specifically biased against Brazilian food, I’ve just never had it before, and late at night after making an 11 hour drive across the country is not the time to be adventurous with my palate. Right now I want something I KNOW I will like.

If I have to pay a toll and pay parking to go into New York City to find some food at 10 o clock on Saturday I will curse the city of Newark for the remainder of my days.

I was such an employee until a month ago. First our state narrowly avoided a shutdown & shortly afterwards the federal government shutdown. I started looking for another job after the former & accepted my new position as rumors began cropping up that SNAP would get cut off. Last copter out of Nam.

At some point this all becomes a distinction without a difference. I'm with you in that I think people can delude themselves indefinitely because they believe wrong things, but even if I'm wrong about that, if it takes 15/20 years for people to wake up, that's a quarter of a lifetime. That's tragic.

I think it's wild they allowed him to finish the second. He's shown a lack of command from moment one.
