I relied on the Thomas Bros. guide when I lived in L.A. in the '70s. It had a street lookup feature where you could find a street name alphabetically in the index and it would give you the page and coordinates for that street. This parallels an indispensable feature of modern mapping apps.

Great idea! Privatize wildfire fighting! Then fossil fuel companies can invest in these companies so they can make money on both ends of the climate catastrophe.

Homeowners, insurance companies, and governments need to send the bill to Exxon et al. This is basic justice, plus it might possibly moderate their bad behavior going forward. 2/2

The insurance crisis provides a golden opportunity to shift the conversation to *polluter pays* for climate catastrophe. This is not a natural disaster. Specific people and corporations have caused it, and continue to get obscenely rich by making it worse EVERY DAMN DAY. 1/2

How did we get to a point where the conventional wisdom holds that the actions required to drastically reduce emissions/fossil fuel use are politically unthinkable? Surely it is the alternative that should be unthinkable.
