That one is awesome. I had one where the player is a changeling and was a female to all but was actually a male. Which was never told to party until they lost all hp and went unconscious and changed to a man.

I'm not really into visuals. It's a hassle to lift my laptop or use screen sharing. I'd prefer more focus on music, ambiance, or scene descriptions to help set the mood.

Yeah, that sounds about right. In session 1, you're dealing with bandits or goblins, and by the end, you're taking on Orcus. Funny enough, all of this happens within roughly a month. If you think about it, 31 sessions mean 31 long rests.

I always say to show them respect or even offer free snacks or food because, without them, there wouldn’t be a game.

So true! However, you should also anticipate that around 25% of players may need to stop, so plan accordingly—aim for more but be prepared for less.

Oh, I totally get that! It’s funny how the art is really just there to catch someone’s eye—without it, no one even stops to look. The second there’s a picture, suddenly they’re like, “Alright, maybe I’ll check this out.”
