Has anyone considered 52 Republicans caved to Democrats demands to fund SNAP/WIC and extend ACA supplements until the end of January?
The House now has to convene to consider this bill. Grijalva gets sworn in and the ball gets rolling on release of Epstein files. I consider both a win for Dems!

The longest shutdown in US history is putting lives in jeopardy.
This isn't the best solution to the budget, it's better than what passed in the House!
People forget that the House has to reconvene to consider this Senate budget & Grijalva will be sworn in. We get to see the Epstein files soon!

The government shutdown isn't over until ratified by the House & signed by Fat Felon.
How long did you expect those who rely on SNAP/WIC to hold out?
Republicans said they would work w Democrats to extend the Medicare supplements before they expire. Will they or will they try again to kill the ACA?

Is it a defeat if millions of government employees, government contractors go back to work and 42 million people get their full SNAP/WIC payments?
The question becomes if Republicans will hold true to their word and discuss extending Covid-era subsidies for Medicare/Medicaid before they expire.

Bullshit!
Nazis put communists, antifa, & Dem-Socialists in camps, at least those that survived beatings, fled the country or were murdered.
When Röhm wanted to expand socialism in 1933, Hitler had him and the SA leadership exterminated.
Perhaps you need to read more German history, focus: pre-1935.

The paradigm shift toward democratic-socialism may happen, it could be the only good thing to happen as a result of the Fat Felon's regime.
I only hope the collapse of the US economy doesn't take the rest of the world down w it.
We were headed for a recession b4 Covid, F47's actions made it worse.

Marx's vision of socialism was not communism. Capitalism was a necessary component.
A gradual erosion of workers' rights started w Reagan ending stock buyback prohibition. That's when shareholders took priority over workers and the decline started.
Mercenary capitalism now controls production.

What is the Origin of “Clothes Make the Man”?
Although “Clothes make the man” seems like some glib ad pitch made by Mad Men’s slick Don Draper, this proverb, meaning that people will…

W/O my supplemental plan, I would likely be dead. At 75, I've needed multiple surgeries that my supplemental plan covered w Medicare.
I can see my doctors and pay a $10 deductible whenever I want.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to afford my supplemental plan w/o the ACA subsidy.

It's not the best deal, it does restore SNAP/WIC for millions & gets government workers paid and back to work.
Congress' goal now is restore ACA subsidies before they expire 31 December.
If the Titanic is sinking are you concerned the lifeboat is so much smaller?
Pick your battles wisely.

Sold us out?
Should we ignore 42 million Americans who had SNAP/WIC benefits cut?
The objective now is to address the issues w the ACA and hopefully restore the subsidies due to expire 31 December.
This isn't a fix but it's a lifeboat.
'All or nothing' is the Republican strategy, not ours.

This has been the NRA's goal for decades.
I'm not sure why people are so insistent the US become a fascist dictatorship. Autocracies never end well, never mind that the Constitution was intended to prevent this from happening again.

That's one of my fears. Any serious violence would allow the Fat Felon to invoke martial law. That could put next year's election into jeopardy and destroy our republic.

Goebbels controlled all media starting in 1933.
Many Germans did not know what happened to people that were disappeared.
People 'detained' and then released by the SS were warned if they spoke about what was happening they and their entire family would be sent to the concentration camps.
