People are buying more clothes, but they don’t stay in closets for long. This fuels overproduction and waste.

An easy fix? Wear them longer. The planet will thank you!

Every election, we've made a video to help voters understand how our preferential voting system works. This is for the 2025 election. If you find it helpful, pls share with your family, friends and pets. Good luck Australia! 💛🗳️

Just a reminder before you vote on Saturday or earlier:

Only you can direct your preferences in the Federal election. You choose where you put each number on the ballot paper. "How to Vote" cards are merely suggestions, and you do not need to follow them.

And don't forget your democracy sausage.

Overfertilization causes soil to become acidic, negatively affecting crop production. Reducing the use of agrochemicals is essential to protecting food systems.

Nearly $7 trillion USD is invested annually in activities harming nature, while investments in Nature-based Solutions total only around $200 billion.

It’s time to flip these numbers.

Tickets for the Blackheath Disco are selling well, but there are still plenty available. Not only is the hall at Blackheath larger with space for more tables and more dancers, but this year we are hiring the other hall too. It will have the snack bar and a chillout space.

It's time to deadhead your agapanthus and montbretia. These are both invasive weeds in our catchment that are invading the National Park. By deadheading you reduce the spread of these weeds. Put the removed seed heads into your green waste.

Sunday was Kylie. We had great seats on the main floor. She walked right past us to get to the centre stage. We were on our feet singing and dancing all through the concert.

I have been watching the expansion of the aptly named Arion (slug) ater (black) in the upper Blue Mountains over the past 10 years. I counted 19 in a new area this evening. Invasive, and bring a suite of issues, but oh so perfectly black. Quite stunning. Time to get collecting.

In Australia, it's legal to lie in a political ad.

In the next few months, we will endure another federal election campaign with unfiltered exposure to lies and disinformation, UNLESS the Government passes truth in political advertising laws, which 87% of Australians support.

Let's get it done!

The bag contains mostly montbretia corms but also some agapanthus heads removed from the national park at Braeside Bushcare this morning by 7 volunteers.

Stop these spreading into the national park by deadheading or digging out. Put the corms and flower heads into the green waste.
