… so most workers actually did okay. Outpacing annualized inflation by about 1% (3.8% vs 2.8%).

But look at someone that was paid in Tesla stock. That gain over the same time period was 18,000% - annualized gain 41%.
And Tesla’s market share in China is down from 21% to 3%. PE is 300⁉️…

IMO there is something else going on here. For years the stock market has been useful for funding new ventures. But now it’s becoming increasingly untethered from reality.

Tesla IPOed in 2010. From 2010 to 2024 median household income increased by 69% - cumulative inflation was 49%…

True - I had to learn how to write persuasively and diplomatically at work (weekly reports for customers etc). But not so much in college.

That one is very good for understanding his point of view regarding WWI and WWII - not comprehensive though. It’s a memoir. That said I’ve gone back to read about Bismarck and the Franco-Prussian war history.
