In my selfish way, I think too often about how I’d offer my dad up as a trade. All this to say, Father’s Day was never a source of emotion until this year. Now I’m just sad at work, missing someone so much, glad my husband is taking care of himself and going to be with friends.

I’ve met plenty of good dads in my life, but none made me care about Father’s Day until I met my father in law. I had 10 wonderful years of him, and honestly that will never be enough. My heart is breaking today for my husband who deserves a lifetime of Father’s Day with his dad….

Sounds like a pretty eventful time! Scrolled your feed, art is looking amazing. Kdawg and I got a house back in my hometown, he works remote and I’m teen services librarian at a local library. Mostly staying busy doing diy home repairs and weight lifting.
