I don't think Crash Team Rumble killed the series, it just showed where Activisions priorities were. Crash Kart and Crash 4 sold well, they just didn't sell Activisions definition of 'well'. So they thought they could get more out of Crash if they made Rumble. They didn't, so they trashed the Crash.

I still want to get this but I am perpetually broke.
