And kale + zinnias = good value. But the eggplants we shoved into a corner of the garden as we were trying to limited the number of containers to water … not enough sun so they were spindly and produced little. Back into their regular spot in the sun next year.

Sunflowers, Brussels sprouts, and carrots did well. Damn but the Brussels sprouts plants take up a lot of our limited space.

Being away for all of August meant our vegetable garden was scaled back this year. No zucchini, tomatoes, tomatillos, beans. But we still had some wins. The hops are always prolific:
