It was also largely an aesthetic decision - I love the color pallette, the fashions, the interiors etc of the 60s! One of my biggest inspos for the comic is Ken Anderson's work on 101 Dalmatians (which is set in the 50s but hush), its style so indicative of its era.

I've always been fascinated by queer history, and the 60s was an era marked by some monumental progress, which I thought would make for an interesting backdrop. Especially with some older, repressed characters who would have grown up during a far more volatile and hopeless time for the lgbtq+(cont.)
