The "good old days" just had old people who felt accountable for the circumstances they created and took their impact on the lives of others seriously.

We face these micro-aggressions every day, everywhere we go. It's in our coffee, in our food, in our transport. Our governments are failing to protect us from companies. I'd attribute the rise of right wing extremism to this exact thing: misplaced reaction to increasing corporate micro-aggression.
