What a time to read this heartbreaking and uplifting book by @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social

USAID is basically no more. Global health is in a scary place. But we can use what we know to build a better system and a more just world. I'm choosing hope today.

Wrote a poem about the ocean and the future, because they are intrinsically intertwined (lessons learned from @ayanaeliza.bsky.social)

2 weeks ago I visited Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan during the Snow Light Path Festival, which has been happening annually since 1999. Dedicated to international cooperation and peace, the festival depends on volunteers from several countries to keep the lanterns lit in the darkest time of the year 🕯️

Today, what I need most is a mental image of the future I'm fighting for. I need to take a moment to remember that there is so much in this world that I love and want to defend; to regain focus and remind myself that progress inches along often so slowly that we can't see it day-to-day.

It's maple season in Ohio and my kids got to drink sap right from the freshly tapped tree. Older says "yum!" Younger says "Ewww I don't like it" before going back for more.

I did a scary thing tonight and it was very worthwhile! Also there were hundreds in attendance but I'm happy to say they weren't all anti-solar. While I was there the testimonies were about 2:1 in favor

Cannot stress enough how much joy and comfort I have found in the outdoors of late. Being under the big sky is a reminder to me that we are one with our planet and our destinies are intertwined.

Joy is resistance. Mending my kid's ripped knees with cute images works both as meditation and protest against fast fashion. Let's not forget to share our joy

I went outside for the weekend and it feels like it was a great choice.
