The resulting usage breakdowns are great for keeping track, and I can determine whether appliances are on or off based on the power consumption now

Bought an energy monitor, reflashed the board to talk to my house instead of a 3rd party cloud, and just finished cramming it in the breaker panel.

We have our energy usage on lockdown now 👍

This is still, by far, my favorite picture from one of the escape rooms I put together. Laser mazes are fun!

When the truck is coming down, remember that you can only move forward and the BIG WIN will only be sweeter the longer it takes to achieve.

Just wrapped up a large touch wall that has a nice contrast under blacklight 👍

The correct tiles make a noise when touched

One request for a cube prop was to have a spooky "head in hole" element where players would have to find clues.

Me: okay lets make an entire tunnel through the cube

3d printer needed a new board. Dealing with Prusa support to resolve the issue was a frustrating month and a half long experience. Fun suggestions included "rotate your extruder".

They did send a board in the end though. Printer is back up and running!

Remembering the time I built a laser maze in an escape room and the origin of the lasers came out of this monopoly man picture on the wall

A friend of mine sent me a bunch of retro console rejects with a request to make some replacement parts.

His requests usually imply there is no decent alternative out there. Wondering how viable it would be to set up a little store online to sell these in various colors

This thing looks like it came straight out of Nickelodeon

Bought an air spray setup a month ago and I've been practicing on and off trying to get better at applying paint. I'm slowly getting good enough for the shiny automotive finish through sanding and application

I'm still waiting on my crew to come down and do a photoshoot but here's what a pixel test of a floor with 4280 LEDs looks like

Updated the design to emphasize the symbols more and keep the gears hidden in the back. Decided to use the PS logo as well

Made a fun little spinny boi for the 3d printer extruder. Kamek would be proud

I tried to make this a few years ago and didn't like the result. Tried again with more knowledge, and it turned out great!

Managed to get my CNC accurate enough for jointed components. First test application? A prop gear with colorful inlays :>

Built a CNC in the past, but had to tear it down and sell it when I ran out of room.

I have room and a purpose for it again, so time to build another. This time large enough to cut full sheets!

Table is done! Now I'm waiting on the rest of the parts and my 3d printer to print.
