That is not a bad observation. I had had only female cats (whom I loved), until a brother and a sister were abandoned at the vet clinic where I worked. I adopted them both, and while my girl was very sweet, it was nothing compared to the love and affection her brother lavished on me.

I am neither a dog person or a cat person. I’d pet a damn cassowary if it would let me. But I am loyal like a dog, and suspicious like a cat.

It’s because it’s lost (pain perdu, which we cooked in French Home Economics class, and yes, we were asked to bring rum to school, we were 13 yrs old, and we all sampled as we were cooking. )

I became a US citizen just so I could vote for him. I am now stuck with jury duty (and probably a lot safer these days than when I only had a green card), but voting for Barack Obama twice were the proudest days of my life.
