Completionist++ is one hell of an achievement to get. I'm sitting at 1125/1200 Joker stickers with 20 annoying ones holding me back. Balatro burnout is real.

Arguably the biggest upset this entire election was with the Great Hyrule Forest. It went from 90% blue in 2020 to 90% red in 2024. This likely comes from reports of Link attaching Koroks, the main voting block, to rockets and crosses. It's likely this behavior that cost the election. (14/15)

East Necluda is usually a lock for the Hyrule Party, but they switched to red this election. Political Scientists in Hateno released a report recently, citing President Link's disinterest in Lurelin Village's reconstruction sidequest as the main reason for growing Ganondorf support. (13/15)

Akkala is a shocking flip from blue to red. This likely stems from Tarrey Town's sudden growth. Interviewed citizens cite "economic concerns" as the main reason for supporting Ganondorf. "I don't like what he says, but you know, I go down to the shop, and Deku Nuts now cost 50 rupees." (12/15)

The first major upset this election is with Eldin. Their votes are normally close, but they usually end up blue. President Link is currently performing an investigation into something called the "Marbled Rock Roast Epidemic", which might tie election fraud charges to Ganondorf. (11/15)

As a political scientist, it's my duty to discuss the results of the election and explain what happened.

So let's explore how and why Ganondorf won the 2024 election against Zelda, when he previously lost to Link in 2020. (1/15)
