They see Call of Duty Black Ops 9 and they buy it without caring if the previous games are available.

Storywise, those two games are not needed since Prime 4 is a whole new thing following up the narrative set up in a 3DS game nobody bought.
They sold Dread without giving people the option to play Fusion, and those two games are more connected than MP4 to the trilogy.

And to not ramble any longer, I won't claim that it is guaranteed that all of this will come together perfectly, or even good. Retro has a history of half baked mechanics, and their cancelled project had real bad mechanics, so I won't say they cannot fail. Their "intentions" tho, are clear to me.

The bike was a part of the game practically since the reboot started (the Akira slide cutscene is three years old according to the animator that made it). You probably should give this group of people the benefit of the doubt that they probably thought of a lot of things during all this time.

Because they then would have to change the entire room design to accommodate it. Remember Other M? Most rooms end up being large corridors because that's what speedbooster in 3D requires. An external power up that goes fast in a designated area lets them have their cake and eat it too. In theory.

Which are going to be seen by far more people than a direct... They aired these ads during the NFL matches on the weekend, that's orders of magnitude more viewership than any Prime 4 Direct could get.

The bike is the only reasonable solution that addresses all of this in one go. Maybe having the ship available would be an option, but at that point I'd have to question what even is the problem here, because flying would be a greater departure of the Prime gameplay than the bike.

Meanwhile, Retro devs always had a chip in their shoulder because they never managed to get the Speedbooster to work, but at the same time, they get praised because the slow methodical gameplay loop of the Primes cannot be found elsewhere.

I find it more strange that the purpose of the bike is not immediately apparent.
Retro Studios has always been given shit for having boring backtracking, they also got shit for sidestepping the problem in Prime 3 by removing world design altogether.

De nada le sirve a las grandes cadenas acopiar stock que no se vende, ni a Nintendo invertir en manufactura que no tiene demanda. En efecto, los números son de consolas enviadas a grandes cadenas de ventas, pero es irrelevante, si la gente no compra, no la encargarían.

Id like to see something that hasn't been done in Metroid yet, whatever that may be. A crystal cave like Dark Souls 1 is one of the bioms Ive always wanted to see in one of these games.
