finished my kabuto rewatch with a friend. i remember liking the show a lot, but i dont remember it being THAT good. i absolutely adored it. just about everything you'd wanna see in one of these shows, pure entertainment

magenta horizon makes good on how hesitant a lot of games are to mix and match their enemy types in insane ways. this game has like 9 billion enemies and i would be surprised if less than like 80% of them showed up together at some point. even certain bosses will randomly get in the mix! it's fucked

finished ex-aid. just a really good time. i feel like it picks up a lot after a bit and then just kinda keeps it rolling the whole time. feels like a great one for the kids too, very fun and silly

platinum has some insanely annoying habits but damn they really can make a really interesting video game if you're willing to really dig into it. still can't believe i completely switched my tone on astral chain as soon as i beat the stupid story

beat master ninja in ng4 (ng+). ya. this games amazing man. thought its flaws would stand out way more on a harder setting but honestly the game just gets so much more fun that it doesnt really matter, for me at least. going to be playing this one forever for sure

man the pointless traversal sections in ng4 really start dragging the pacing down like crazy once you get to master ninja. instant adrenaline cut to go from an insane enemy gauntlet to spending like 3 minutes rail grinding. it's not the worst thing I've ever put up with for a game but man, not good

finished ng4. this game is really fun. weird first playthrough game where i feel like the first stages are kinda slow and weird and the end is also kinda slow and weird but the middle is awesome

I'm really interested to try master ninja in ng4 once I'm done with the first run. hard mode started out feeling properly challenging but as I've gotten used to things and unlocked more moves/health i feel like the game has been getting wayy easier
