After many early weekend mornings and sunset hours in my hunting blind I finally had the opportunity of a clean shot at a good sized doe last evening. Very busy Sunday processing her in my garage but the benefit of around 90lbs of the most purely organic lean meat possible was so worth it.

Finally back with the team after an enforced layoff, great to be turning cranks again.

A rare treat indeed with three very nervous bucks coming in to feed in front of my porch where I leave out powered apple and corn for any locals willing to drop by and say hi.

It's always a treat to see deer in my yard though bucks are quite rare but this was a particularly fine looking young chap.

We've had a pair of wrens nesting under our front porch for the last three years, my wife and I have a superb view of them endlessly working to build and then feed their young. One warm evening my wife let out a scream as she looked through the door to see this, nature can be brutal to witness.
