A list of tips for navigating an authoritarian regime: 1. Always have a go bag and an exit plan. 2. Assume you are being monitored. 3. Assume you will be arrested for dissent. 4. Assume you will be left with nothing but the contents of your go bag. 5. Assume they won’t let you take your go bag. 6. Assume they will take your documents. 7. Assume the collaborators will be excused. 8. Assume the collaborators will be encouraged. 9. Assume the collaborators will be rewarded. 10. Assume your networks are compromised. Plan and organize accordingly.
