Seems like a trend for social networks that have been around for some time like Reddit and Twitter. Makes me grateful that Bluesky is based on the open network philosophy.

For people just getting their foot in the door, it’s still a resume booster though. Maybe this doesn’t apply if you already have many years of experience. Are you still there?

It’s still a well paying job at the end of the day and working on large scale systems at a FAANG certainly adds credibility to a resume.
