This week, we have been celebrating with our P7s. On Tuesday, we decided to have a beach party instead of a traditional prom and everyone had a fantastic time.

We were very lucky with the weather today for our Kilt Walk. We did 2 laps of the school. Everyone had a great time as you can see.

On Monday 2nd June, pupils will take part in a mini kilt walk around the school campus. Funds raised will contribute towards learning resources.

Pupils will aim to walk 2 laps of the campus or as much as they can manage. Donations can be made here:

Our Core Word of the Week is 'help'. Here is a video of Katie showing you how to make the makaton sign. There is also the boardmaker symbol and some ideas to help you to use 'help' at home. Apologies for the delay in sending out the paper symbol - they will be in school bags tomorrow.

Billy, who has been bringing children to and from Langlands Primary School for an incredible 35 years retired today. Everyone gathered at the end of the day to wish him farewell. We wish Billy all the best for his retirement.

Lyoncross class started their new spring sensory story 'Hooray for Hoppy'. They will be reading this at story time most days to build interest and anticipation of the story - repetition is key for our learners.

Langton class took advantage of the sunshine today and ate snack outside in the sensory garden. The pupils used TD Snap to choose their snacks and then enjoyed some free play.

Towerside have been working on their word of the week. With support, the pupils can find the symbol on the communication board in the classroom and on the TD Snap iPad app, sign it and say it either with their voices or using the VOCA. They loved posing for their photo in front of the symbol!

We are delighted to have been awarded Bronze: Rights Committed on our journey to being a United Nations Rights Respecting School. We have lots of great things planned in the lead up to applying for our silver award.
