#langsky I reached the end of the textbook btw (without doing the exercises). I will eventually go through it again and do them while reviewing, but for now I'll just be focusing on reviewing my class notes for the test this week and doing mock exams for the exam this weekend

#langsky A total of almost 1000h with Estonian!!! Good thing about tracking the time of *anything* I do with the language is that I can’t gaslight myself. I know exactly how much time I put into it. 👏🏼Recipts 👏🏼

#langsky It's here! Although I must say, it's a lot smaller than I anticipated. I wonder if it even reaches as far as the other textbooks?

I was a bit afraid of starting this textbook bc it's quite old, but it has actually been really good for me. It was originally written in Swedish, only much later adapted to English for uni students, so it doesn't shy away from giving you very clear grammar explanations #langsky #eestikeel #estonian

The Tere jälle! also exists for A2 in English (both the Tere! and Tere jälle! make sure to buy these colors if you want the version in English, as other colors are in Russian)

That makes sense, a lot of Estonians did flee to Sweden in various times during the last centuries and there's quite a big community there (also easier to find classes and language cafés with the Estonian House, probably)

My goal is to try and finish the textbook before New Year's but let's see if it will be possible (going to Portugal for 10 days for Xmas and as the book is big and heavy-ish I won't be taking it with me)

(But yeah, it's funny to notice that after a year in Estonia, I feel it's not even that cold yet and haven't taken the snow boots out yet)

I prefer these smaller editions of the Teach Yourself Complete series. But alas, you can barely find these nowadays unless you're lucky to find it 2hand or if it's a lang w so few learners they still have old stock in some storages

I've been wanting to get my hands on the Literally Estonian (read: Estonian [translated] literally) for a year, but it had been sold out everywhere! Seems like it finally got a 2nd print
