Let’s send some lovely letters! It's been nearly a year since Our Flag Means Death was unceremoniously canceled by Max, but its fans, cast, crew, and creators haven’t given up hope for a season 3 and beyond. To show that there’s still a strong demand for OFMD and other queer media, let’s send Netflix a message in the form of real letters asking them to give our crew a chance! What? Letters and/or postcards explaining why you want Netflix to adopt OFMD. Highlight its accolades, reviews, representation, or simply what it means to you. Be honest and authentic! Send as many as you want! Where? Mail to: Netflix Corporate Headquarters 121 Albright Way Los Gatos, California 95032 When? Plan for your letter(s) to arrive anywhere during the week of January 5-12, 2025 to coincide with the one year anniversary of cancelation on January 9. Why Netflix? Netflix was among the first three streamers David Jenkins tagged during initial campaigning to save OFMD, and in recent months tagged them again offering a “two season comedy that’s available.” In Elaine Low’s Fall Market Guide series, she highlights Netflix as one of the few streamers actively buying series right now. As far as comedies go, she notes they like strong showrunners and character-driven, adult comedies. Please share far and wide! Promote on Instagram, TikTok, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Bluesky— anywhere that has an audience to reach! Share your progress, tag Netflix, and use the hashtags #LettersToSeaForSeason3 and of course #OurFlagMeansDeath
