Now that my children are grown, with university degrees and responsible jobs, I no longer follow the studies obsessively. But when I did, the strongest single predictor of adult trouble for people with ADHD was lack of access to meds as children.

The source I was reading was focusing on seed types and the transition from gymnosperms to angiosperms. Fascinating stuff. I also have a ginkgo in my yard, so we go way way back.

Other tidbits: Magnolia flowers predate bees and are pollinated by beetles. That red coating covers the actual black seeds and needs to be breached -- by rodents or bird digestion.

Roasted parsnips are so, so good. Underrated vegetable.
They like very deep, loamy soil, like I used to have in my old place where they got huge.
