Get kind of unbalanced when I haven't been in the ocean for a couple of days
Listened to this last month while I drove to a week-long training for a new job. Our first intro session we were told to bring up the last music you listened to and describe it to your group

Then immediately regretted not choosing music with a much simpler explanation

Those butts are surprisingly small. This must be the intro course.

If you lived anywhere near the beach in California in 1984. They were the band playing in your friend’s living room Saturday night

In 1985 I made a tape of a friend’s Ten Foot Faces record without knowing it was a 45 EP. Listened for years without realizing that the band played revved up surf punk that I had just recorded slower. Somehow still sounded great, but a much different vibe

I just don’t believe legislating against apathy will help. Uninformed people forced to vote wouldn’t take it as an opportunity to be less apathetic and educate themselves. They would just check the box for President MrBeast

Or from then on we would only elect reality tv stars

Ya- that’s not orange makeup. It’s modeling clay to fill in the holes

Summer 1988, running the follow spot for free beach concerts:

Bo Diddley
The Drifters
The Coasters
The Platters
The Surfaris
Freddy Cannon
The Shirelles

That’s more than 5, but less than the number of bands that summer

That Disturbed cover of Land of Confusion is better than the original too

Like many early 80’s boys I listened to a lot of hair metal; but I also liked folk and hippie 60’s music. In 1985 I bought REM’s Fables of the Reconstruction. It was like folk music, but modern and cool, and I was hooked. From there it was a slippery slope to everything alt and punk

Living down by the beach in California, I didn’t know that my Corolla needed a new battery until I took it to the snow. Fortunately, it was stick shift and we were in the mountains; so, I just parked it facing downhill and bump started it for the rest of the trip

Someone with a Subaru better go tow that thing out

Walked the dog past a homeless guy on the river levee today. He was trying to walk his bike loaded with all of his belongings while eating a tasty Beckman’s Berry Bomb pie out of the box. Dropped his bike 3 times, never dropped his pie. Thus today I learned the true meaning of thanksgiving

As Gen X it still feels like cheating when you don’t find cool new music through your friends or some rando working in a record store

And for your listening pleasure- one of the most polarizing and obscure 70s bands

If it’s not a rough geometric representation of Elon’s wiener sculpted from fabulous stainless steel, I’m not interested.

Year-old lease return EVs seem to get towards half price, often with the remaining factory warranty included. That’s how I bought my Hyundai with 9 years and 90k miles of warranty.

Tainted Love fans certainly had a rude awakening listening to this album for the first time. And Sex Dwarf wasn’t one of those “don’t judge, it was a different time” songs. It’s remained consistently inappropriate for 5 decades

Island or not, Bill Clinton is a sex pest. It’s common knowledge. Republicans who think there’s some “gotcha” in further proving he’s a sex pest are delusional

At least it’s no longer Veterans Day- now by royal proclamation: Victory Day for WWI. So, all you WWI vets, thank you for your service. I guess everyone else who served should quit their lazing around and get back to work. Not your holiday anymore

Alternatively, he could be a bit compromised by some Epstein island shenanigans.

I left the Democratic Party and registered independent somewhere around two capitulations ago. My wife left about one ago. They don’t seem to want or need our support. Clearly, all they are going to do with it is surrender

Paid about half price for a 1 year old lease return Hyundai Kona Electric with 10k miles. And it came with the remainder of the 10 year/100k mile warranty.
