First cold day of the autumn at Landguard a Snow Bunting on the beach felt just about right, still a few Goldcrests and a Firecrest still around but little else apart from 2 Lapwings although 3 Egyptian Geese headed south way out to sea plus 2 of the same went north over the port

A bit of variety at Landguard today including the Pallas's Warbler 2 Purple Sandpipers 2 Firecrests 1 Short eared Owl and a late Wheatear bit very little noted over the sea

On the Butts at Landguard this afternoon 2 regular Clouded Yellows and 1 Small Copper both my latest ever also the Pallas's Warbler was still present in the Observatory Compound

At Landguard this morning and if it wasn't for the lingering Pallas's Warbler and Barred Warbler you could be forgiven for thinking that autumn migration was over but during a couple of brief sunny spells 2 Clouded Yellows, one Helice and a single Small Copper brightened things up somewhat

A second Pallas's Warbler for the autumn at Landguard bird Observatory this morning along with a few Goldcrests and a Firecrest plus some Redwing and Song Thrushes had arrived overnight

A brief 20 minutes around the Landguard butts area in the sunny spell at lunchtime I managed to see 1 Clouded Yellow, my latest and 4 Small Coppers

Yesterday at Landguard a few butterflies were on the wing including 3 Clouded Yellows 3 Small White 4 Small Copper 4 Red Admiral 1 Peacock but only a single Red Admiral seen today also in the Grove Felixstowe 6 Common Darters and 3 Firecrests along with 2 gleaning Jays

As the sun was out in Felixstowe, Butterflies seemed a good choice either side of lunchtime for a walk to the butts area Landguard which produced 3 Clouded Yellows 5 Small Copper 1 Small White and a Red Admiral

Bit of a Clouded Yellow day at Landguard this p.m. with a walk around the Butts area only producing 19 individuals including 2 Helice females, a single Hummingbird Hawkmoth and 5 Stonechats at the nw end.

At Landguard today the first 3 autumn Stonechats were noted also 3 Black Redstarts and a Common Redstart with a small number of Blackcaps, Chiffchaffs and Meadow Pipits present. 5 Clouded Yellows and a late Meadow Brown on the Butts Area with a few Small Coppers, Common Blues and Small Whites

With vizmig getting underway on the Hirundine front at Landguard and an Osprey heading south over Felixstowe Docks a Bonxie offshore giving Gulls and Terns a hard time plenty of Warblers and at least 3 Spotted Flycatchers two on the butts this afternoon plus an ovipositing Great green Bush cricket
