For many, many years I held off on finishing the original Phantasy Star. I was saving it for some rainy day, but lately I realized it would be an absolute travesty if something did happen and this game that changed my whole life remained unfinished. So I've finally completed it.

Found out today that my favorite cat, my little man Kamineko, has lymphoma of the gastrointestinal tract. I’m just devastated. I love this cat so much and I’m not ready to lose him. He’s been with me through so much since I adopted him 7 years ago (he’s 13-14 years old).

Obviously US politics will always dominate online spaces but I feel like we don't talk about Russia's repression of LGBTQ people enough. An entire population silenced and their transition care banned. I wish I could do more than keep them in my thoughts.

Detroit: Become Human might have had all the nuance of a sledgehammer and racial allegories that don't work, but the characters of Hank and Connor got me through coming out as trans. Connor's journey toward finding himself is very personal to me.
