As someone of a certain age, lack of hair, business masters degree from the 90s, and US, Canadian and NZ business experience I feel unduly qualified to provide an interpretation of the messaging in this oft-quoted text.
(And yes, I’ve been guilty of using “full court press” before)

In a world of bad business news, one bit of good news, which is the announcement of the sale of Quantifi Photonics, with founders, staff and seven NZ funds benefiting.

And today’s progress on Auckland’s new Christmas tree.

Auckland’s new Christmas tree being assembled. It’s pretty impressive.

“Show a map of the Pacific with islands that were occupied by Japan in WWII clearly marked”

Asking Chat GPT to create usable drawings like maps is hilarious.

Existing in this city center hell is so hard sometimes. I guess it’s just luckily it’s designed to have hundreds of thousands of people here at once.

2000 cars idling at once, for every minute that a boat this big is in Auckland port and not plugged in. Which we don’t offer, because apparently residents, business owners and customers and tourists don’t matter.

National added 207k votes, Labour 161k, Greens 88k, ACT 44k, NZF28k.

But it's all in the % increasesL

National/Labour/Act increased by 22-26%, whereas Greens improved by 36% and TPM by 49%!
37,660 votes were deadweight loss to parties who dd not get in, including 16.6k to TOP

This year’s blossoms.

Aka downtown Auckland urban living hell that’s clearly unsuitable for raising kids. (Actually the gist of the message given to the renters before us looking to adopt.)

One of the most insightful things I've read about NZ recently #nzpol. Things are, as always, much better here than overseas.

For the price ($15.7bn) of Lake Onslow NZ could order a 31 GWh battery.
That's 240x the size of the original Hornsdale big battery in South Australia, and while tiny tiny versus Lake Onslow, and aimed for daily use, it would allow solar to explode and 100% renewables to prevail.
