Thanks! Yeah, it's been super fun both experiencing the comic through the rerelease, as well as make my own stuff for it! I had even made a kernelsprite and its two prototypes on top of everything else!

Speaking as someone who used to live in a small apartment from ages 5-15, and STILL thinks about rooms in terms of daily living, I feel like, with Pas specifically, this layout is an incident WAITING to happen. Sick blueprint map though.

I've ended up reworking Asriel in particular since I've never been real EXCITED by how I did him in the early stages of writing, so here he is, new and improved!
Asriel was once the hope of the Underground, the child prince who was supposed to inherit everything, but instead became a story whispered in grief. His death under the Barrier marked the end of an age, and the strange flower he became afterwards made sure no one could forget it. Flowey was cruel, merciless, and hollow, but Asriel remembers it all. Every manipulation. Every reset. Every friend he let down. When the Barrier fell, he should have vanished with it. And he almost did. But the traces of six Human SOULs remained bound to him, just enough to keep his body intact, just enough to let him live again. Not as the "God of Hyperdeath," not as the innocent child who died, but as something in between. Now, ten years later, Asriel is steady, but changed. His emotions are muted, never as genuine as they once were. He laughs, but it’s always tinged with Flowey’s irony. He comforts, but there’s always distance behind it. He’s kinder than Flowey ever was, sharper than the young prince could ever be, but stuck unable to truly live as either. He doesn’t see himself as a hero, or even as someone who deserves to be remembered. But he’s still here. He still protects, in small ways. He still carries the memory of every mistake so no one else has to. If hope is gone, then he'll settle for peace, and maybe, just maybe, that will be enough.

While I have gone on and on about the PROTAGONISTS of this little project of mine, I also plan to diverge a tiny bit from the usual status quo. For INSTANCE, look at who is on the enemy team!
Kris is an interesting peek into what the Sealer Guild looks like, and how it operates. Once a passive, quiet child, left all on their own and found nearly dead at the foot of Mt Ebott, growing up in the Guild has warped their perspective, turning them into one of the most vicious, sadistic humans among their ranks. Dust or blood, it doesn't matter to them, so long as SOMETHING is suffering the same way they were suffering so long ago, they are eager to take up the blade.

Right, and the one that I won't lie in saying MIGHT be quite interesting to work with given the ideas I have for Alternate Epilogue: Noelle Holiday!
Noelle was born and raised in Snowdin, in the twilight years of the Underground. She grew up in a sleepy, peaceful town under the Barrier’s shadow, surrounded by quiet snow, old traditions, and a community always waiting for something to change. Her father Rudy was a warm and silly man who taught her that kindness was its own kind of magic. Her mother Carol, on the other hand, was strict, poised, and deeply committed to the idea that monsters needed to behave properly if they were ever going to be free again. When the Barrier finally fell, Noelle was young but old enough to remember it. She walked up to the surface with her family, bright-eyed and hopeful. But freedom didn’t bring closure, only change, and the pressure to adapt quickly and gracefully. Then Rudy passed away. And Carol’s control tightened like ice. Noelle is soft-spoken, bookish, and gentle, but not fragile. She internalizes her pain, then grows from it. She knows how to hold space for others' grief because she’s carried so much of her own. She’s not easily provoked, but she’s not passive either. When something’s wrong, when someone lies, or a story doesn’t add up, she can’t let it go. She remembers what it was like to be underground. She remembers how hope felt. And she refuses to pretend it all ended cleanly.

Next up would be the one I was MUCH more excited to write for, Suzy. Using the basis of her Deltarune counterpart did assist me in characterizing her, but the new context of the setting should give her more to work with, especially with the inclusion of her being a Monster/Human mix.
Born years before the fall of the Barrier, Suzy is the product of a forbidden union between a human from a remote mountain village and a monster who had never been sealed underground. Her mother, in particular, was part of a scattered, secretive population of monsters who evaded imprisonment after the war by going into hiding at the base of Mt. Ebott. Suzy’s early years were spent in a world that wanted her to disappear, hidden from human eyes, distanced from monster society, and growing up with the quiet understanding that she was not supposed to exist. Her parents were divided: one trying to protect her through secrecy, the other bitterly resenting the risk she represented. When the Barrier fell and monsters emerged onto the surface, Suzy didn’t feel liberated. She felt left behind. She never knew the Underground, and the monsters she met topside treated her like an outsider. Brash, confrontational, and emotional to a fault, Suzy doesn’t ask for respect, she demands it. She’s quick to violence, slow to trust, and impossible to intimidate. Beneath her 'tough girl' front, though, is a deep-rooted sense of loyalty and justice: she protects others because no one protected her. Suzy has no love for idealists or institutions, and secrets are something she's grown to absolutely resent. She doesn’t believe the world got better, only that it got quieter. When the Sealer Guild starts stirring up old hate, she’s ready to fight not just out of principle… but because she knows she’s exactly the kind of person they want erased.

Gonna start with our... arguably lead protag, Asriel Dreemurr. He's the catalyst of this whole branch, though his personality... leaves something to be desired, even if by design due to his faded SOUL.
Asriel has not had the best life, in the years since his resurrection. His incomplete soul leaves him almost as emotionally void as before, with only little bursts of feelings in rare moments of vulnerability (most often when eating). This has also left his flame, both passionate and magical, completely dimmed, leaving only his other two magics, Prismatic and Floran, even if they are much weaker than he'd like. In exchange, however, the residue left from the human souls has made it so his body almost refuses to die, simply reforming him whenever he would normally become dust.
