The first thing he invented, he wasn’t sure what it would do when he pressed the button on the user interface. He researched satellite systems and found a way to unite them to produce a signal that went worldwide. Considering how far-reaching it was, he was pretty calm about it. His name was Findley. His mother named him after her second cousin, an old guy who lived in Homer Alaska. His mom told him that her cousin Findley drank cold water directly from the tap without filtering it. After he pressed the button, Findley hummed to himself “It’s a Hostile Government Takeover” an old protest song that featured a dancing cat. Then all the many little programs he stitched together came alive with the negus and achieved their purpose. Findley stepped outside and looked around. It all looked the same. There were no jets crashing from the blue gray skies, or cars running into each other. Nothing was different in the city. It sounded the same, smelled the same. For a long time after things went digital, the banking systems tried to keep written ledgers, but it was just too heavy, the amount of paper itself was too heavy for the buildings, and the level of detail too much -- for after a while they abandoned the practice of written records and went fully digital. But what Findley's button had done was erase all the data in banks related to digital records of money, globally. All the plus and minus signs were now zeroed out. Nobody anywhere owed anyone any money, nobody anywhere had any money in an account. Those keeping written records, or handshake agreements still had those. Whatever you had or didn’t have before, after Finley pressed his button, everyone, at least digitally, was equal. Findley was 17 years old. He had written code for a sound that sang a tasty digital song and artificial intelligence systems liked it so much that they all sang along.

It is not an unqualified fear; it's the real meaning behind "Truth Social". Some people then moved from house to house & out of the country. Look what happened to the women he raped. He was convicted of it - she is a writer, told her friends, and kept records. He was Convicted & kept publicly defaming her. She sued for defamation & Won. That did not stop him. She sued him AGAIN. And won a settlement of 83.3 million dollars. I grew up around lawyers and judges, one of our family's best friends was a Federal Judge, and to some small degree in part, their family lived in fear. One day a car out front of their house shot off a loud backfire & their mom yelled "HIT THE FLOOR!!!" We all did. 55 years ago, it is much worse now. Judges and regular folks get whacked. All of Congress are afraid. There are news articles about it. Part of the reason is because information & Disinformation has been weaponized. The demon has the gun. The founders were basically good men (aside from slavery). Our constitution and the 3 legged support were not intended for obscenely wealthy demons who lack compassion to take over. They thought the Free Press would keep things in check. That's the problem with good people, they really cannot understand the worst, because ethically or morally more than 2 or 3 steps away from them. Why do soldiers who go to war come back broken? They did not know what they learned, and they did not want to learn about the depravity of others. That's where we are learning what we did not want to know. Now, if you'll listen to an old woman for a minute, I know a thing or two about staying angry. And, Honey, I know where to get the gasoline. I have stayed angry for so many years - stayed focused for so many years.... stayed relentless so many years that it turns out that at the age of 81, I am the only person in the world to have beaten Trump - (all upper case) twice. And, I just beat him again, don't ya know, in Appeals Court. And how am I beating him? Well, first, I have the best civil rights attorney in the country, Robbie Kaplan. Second, I pour gas on my anger. And by gas, I mean laugher. Robbie is a big laugher too. A good laugh, Betty, gives us fifty times more energy than reading a dark and doomy Substack and lying awake all night weeping over Trump's wrongs. I reject the notion that being "light" and letting go with a big laugh is shallow and weak! I (all caps) reject it! Laugher is extremely profound.
