No words can describe how I feel watching the meeting between the White House and Ukraine today. To say I am angry barely hits the surface. I will just leave this here for now. God bless President Zelenskyy. God bless Ukraine. 🇺🇦

I'm reading this book on Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Day. I initially thought it would be a quick read (thin book full of illustrations). But the content is so relevant to the present time that I have to slow down and process each point. This is basically an instructional manual for the next 4 years.

Learning and growth take place by staying vigilant to events and watching how people behave while staying emotionally neutral. The greatest challenge is how to regulate emotion amidst perceived chaos and crises. Mastering self-control is the ultimate lesson in life. It is the greatest payoff.

Empowering the disenfranchised is my life-long work. Meeting people at their starting point, lifting them up, and reminding them,"the sky is the limit," is the function of therapy. No room for arguments or reprimands. People will change their mind and heart in their own time. Growth is inevitable.

Did I miss something? As I savored my Starbucks latte, made perfectly to my liking, I realized there hadn't been any bells and whistles, nor any screaming matches on the news, regarding the new Starbucks holiday cup. In that sense, life is normal. I will enjoy this small piece of normalcy for now.
