I hope you feel better soon. I tested positive for Covid on Christmas Day a couple of years ago - it’s rubbish.

With the teaching or swearing? 😂

I showed this to my fiancé earlier, he’s a teacher, and he was not impressed (swore in a few different languages). He has made calls to parents about this many times and gets a ‘boys will be boys’ response every time. It’s not the teachers who need training.

I used to work at a cinema and a concerning amount of people would ask if we ‘had that movie, with that actor in it?’

Later, I worked at an airport where a passenger argued that her bottle was fine to go through as water isn’t a liquid.

Ok, but hear me out: MERL safari

I hope they go all out and be American. Ferrari are unashamedly Italian and Williams painfully British so why not? I want eagles, BBQ, over the top liveries and all that American motorsport history.

I’m a Brit, can confirm we are not doing much better than the Americans when it comes to politics and current events. The only main difference I can see so far is that our PM is slightly more coherent when giving speeches, the content is still full of bigotry and awfulness though.

The humble chickpea does not deserve this.

My fiancé came to the UK aged 14 from Ukraine (he speaks both Ukrainian and Russian). When he was doing his PhD he was talking to a Russian born professor and both of them got to the point of ‘this is too hard, let’s flip to English’ at the same point.

He was a true himbo, he had never had a thought in his entire life. Big old cuddle bug though. Hated having his flea treatment so it took 2 to apply it, my job was to hold him still but I got sloppy and gave him just enough wriggle to launch into my face.

Colleagues found it hilarious though.

I once sprained my ankle trying to avoid tripping on something on the street, turned out out to be an empty mars bar wrapper.

I also had a magnificent black eye from when my mum’s absolute unit of a cat head butted me.

My local council outplayed the flag folk at the end of October by taking the flags down and replacing them with poppies. I’m not sure I’m a fan but I respect that the council recognised the one move that might work and ran with it.

And the idiot parents are not living in that world either. I’m probably the same generation as the parents and I’m sat here working in my laptop, connected to a monitor (plus paraphernalia for meetings) with my music playing on my tablet and on my phone for procrastinating.

Screens and tech are part of our world, surely teaching kids to use and understand them (especially the risks) is good? Sending Luddites out into the workforce seems counterproductive too.

I remember being told this by my therapist when I had EMDR therapy. At first I thought she was joking.

It’s always easy to make nice little lists/plans about how to ‘fix’ immigration when you don’t see immigrants as actual people.

I remember telling my boss I was going going on holiday to Ukraine (fiancé is Ukrainian) she was surprised hear that there wasn’t snow. I was visiting in August. She was also surprised to hear that I was going to a mountain resort with a fun lake/water park.

A swear word? Im pretty sure I use it as punctuation on particularly aggravating days . It’s an incredibly versatile word and we should be proud of it.

I used to work in airport security and the biggest culprit for dodgy looking x-ray was a block of cheese and handheld gadgets with their cables wrapped around them. Especially exciting if you got both in one bag and overlapping on the image.
