yea i've started watching from the first season and finished the 4th last night, was shocked to hear jeff say it'd been 5 months since they voted. i suppose that makes sense if the seasons aren't airing right when they're recorded, but it seems like it'd cause scheduling issues for other seasons?

yessss, we finally had enough saved up to escape Texas this year! we've got no family with actual winter experience and are flying by the seat of our pants 😂 it's been a serious relief to experience an actual fall instead of 80s in November

race ofc is a reasonable criticism as well but i can't speak to that myself. like the long storied problem w/ black charas in horror that only recently seems to be pulling itself out of that hole b/c of works like those from peele. i'd like to see less of a pattern of minorities dying exceptionally

I'd like to see similarly horrific stuff happening to hets within the same movie. I don't necessarily mind that the scene itself was gruesome, it elicited a huge reaction from me which it was intended to do, but in hindsight it was (imo) much more brutal than the other tortures in the film

Imo the disagreement stems from what we might personally consider the worst fate. While the parents' had me wincing and the cop's had me groaning, the idea of losing my autonomy and being forced to gruesomely bludgeon my partner's face with my own face beyond all recognition was... beyond the pale

thank you! follow up question, do you do anything special for pet food during colder months? i've been mixing hot water with their wet food in the evenings to give them something to warm their tummies, but they only have dry food in the mornings which limits warm options
