Lion El'Johnson progress pictures. I've really botched the lion skin, I think the base is too light and the dark spine didn't land here, and blending probably won't save it. I think I'll paint over it in a sandier color and try a more traditional scheme.

It's been a looooong time but I'm getting back into the swing of painting. The Clair Obscur soundtrack is great to get into the zone. Continuing work on the lion with Screamer Pink cloaks and some faces.

Finally put some magnetic tape on mdf to hold more than one model at once. Makes rattle can priming much faster! Now I just need a primer other than black...

Assembled and based, ready for priming! Love ordnance batteries and happy to add them to the guard forces. And yes I have too many projects in flight.

Trying to check all the prep boxes before jumping right into priming and painting. Head is magnetized for The Lion. Need to check if the halo can fit with the winged helm then work on mold lines!

Upgraded the wet palette. Loving the space, and the very good seal compared to my old clamshell and paper towel set up. You can always make so in the hobby but upgrades feel nice too!

Took some more time on NMM with the squire's breastplate and pauldrons. I'm mostly happy with the color placement. Needs lots of cleanup and glazing at the very least.

Now taking advice on what to change for this guys metal armor in an attempt at NMM. I think I might just need to push the darks dark with less transition space, but I'm not sure.
