Also black cats are extra and ridiculously sweet. This was mine who passed away many years ago. I have another now, but this one was my girl!

So glad they got another one. My heart was broken having to put down two of my old cats and waiting for the last one to go. I declared to the eldest cat that he was the last for me. One day my ex found a kitten on the freeway and I took him and so happy I did. ❤️ Then got him his own kitten! 🤗

She ignores that all of the students and all of the hires are in fact qualified. DEI makes sure they got an interview instead of being passed over by a wht dude w/the same or lesser qualifications just b/c he’s wht. Does she even know her own history (as a minority woman) of this country?
outcome of all of this? 贝 §345 Mailman: Yeah, I do think that as universities decide that they don't want a merit-seeking mission, that's not attractive for parents, that's not attractive for students, and it's not attractive for the federal government. It's also not attractive for donors. And they'll have to be more out loud about that. I think that's the goal: You can choose who you want to be. You want to make no changes? You want to commit yourself to victimhood? You want to oppose the idea of merit? Say it out loud, so that students, parents, donors and the government can know and that each can dedicate their resources to those universities that are making our country better.

Mailman: I think universities will return to a merit mission, and that'll be in admissions, hiring and research, and that'll be with its relationship to the federal government, that the federal government will be funding institutions that can be perceived as excellent. And maybe they're not today excellent - maybe they're these institutions that are trying to be excellent — but that the mission of universities will not be diversity. The mission of universities won't be equity, but they will be excellence, and that will be rewarded with a tighter, closer and better federal relationship. That's with regard to the federal government. I think policy's larger than that. Policy is: What's its effect in the world, and how does it change our culture? And my hope is that the people who are graduating from our universities carry values that will uplift

You're wrong. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the balsamic vinegar and sugar to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer it until it's all fucking syrupy and delicious. Cut your watermelon into cubes, and slice the ricotta salata all thin-like. Plate the watermelon and cheese together, and season those motherfuckers. Drizzle with the reduced vinegar and top with some baby arugula, and boom-you're fucking done. Don't fucking like that?. ... Turn to page 72. Not a fucking vegetarian? ........Turn to page”

My kittens are currently learning about Nazis, and the US racism post WW1 and a side of Venetian history (in case they ever find themselves living in Venice, ya never know). The ebook is too mature..they are only 1yr old.

The thing is, it was the state, county and local officials who failed and are now finger pointing b/c they know they screwed up:
indicated risk of 10" or more as early as Thursday morning. (NOAA SPC) The HREF model on Thursday morning, a tool developed from NOAA research also indicated the risk of 10" or more in spots, using the "probability matched mean" product which can identify higher risk areas for heavy rainfall. I've used this in Houston many times, often with considerable forecast success ahead of flooding events. It has a knack for cutting through some of these higher end events and highlighting those risks. So the signals were there and got worse as Thursday progressed. Messaging and flood

No. I made lamb shanks with vegetables yesterday and me and the kid actually sat and ate and talked. Usually we just scavenge. LOL. I’m kind of proud of it.

maramahan Here's a tip I picked up from a friend that's helped me a lot - replace self deprecating jokes with ironically self aggrandizing jokes Like every time I trip and fall, instead of saying "I'm just a disaster human" I say "I'm the epitome of grace and beauty" Or like, when I draw a picture I'm not 100% happy with, instead of saying "my art is trash" | say something like "you know I think it's time we replaced the Mona Lisa" When you do that you get to make a joke, but you're ALSO getting practice building yourself up, y'know? And eventually it becomes a reflex and you get so used to it that you can say nice stuff about yourself even when you AREN'T joking
