Sweet Babybel was bitten by a copperhead today on our walk. It’s been such a bad year for them. I tried to be vigilant, but I still didn’t see anything. She’s safe, getting some anti-venom because the pain/swelling were so bad. Very glad she’s being looked after where they can manage her pain too.

Saw a monster intentionally hit this sweet pup with a truck over the weekend. By some miracle, she only has soft tissue damage and pretty minor injuries, but now we have a temporary foster while we get her healed up. Luckily, there are a few GSD rescues in the area

I know I post a lot of dog pictures, but they are truly keeping me sane. I’ve been bedridden a good portion of the past 3-4 years due to endometriosis on top of my SLE. I can’t even sit and eat at the same time, but these girls are always up for a cuddle.

Only a half height row left!!! I can see the end almost as clearly as I can see myself dancing around a quilt fueled bonfire.

Am I going insane picking out this beige monstrosity because it has bested two needles and my glide foot? Yes. Am I also motivated to get it off my frame and out of my house? Also yes. It’s a shame setting it on fire isn’t an option.

Saw what appeared to be a funnel cloud try to form and then dissipate earlier this afternoon, and now we have storms until 5am with projected hail. It’s going to be a very long night with very scared pups.

Sums up my day- glide foot gets caught on a thick seam, plastic top snaps off, machine keeps going & sews the disc to the quilt. Miraculously, my needle didn’t break & actually sewed through the foot. “50 Shades of Beige” is the quilt that keeps on giving. Now to unpick & come up with a plan b…

When I cross stitch, I take time to mark where my stitches of the colour I’m working on are in water soluble pen. It saves me so much time in the long run. However, I made some mistakes marking where the black went, & now it looks like King is crying. 😂🤣😭
