I think the important thing to remember here is that the subpoena is coming from Trump ally James Comer. And Trump ally Todd Blanche at DOJ said yesterday he’s going to meet with her.
I have no idea what Maxwell will say, but MAGA folks presumably think it will help Trump.

This testimony is not going as obviously in Tesla's favor as I expected, given that Dr Disner is their witness. So far she has proven that "Autopilot" doesn't really exist in the automotive context, and that "pilot" implies a higher than typical level of capability... not exactly exonerating so far
