Since the usual Christmas tree spot has been displaced by my mini fridge this year, I had to be creative.

So instead of a tree, I've gone for a Christmas garland instead.

I'm really chuffed by how good it looks, and got loads of decorations on it.

I captured some noctilucent clouds last night as I was going to bed.

Photo doesn't do them justice

A braw warm day for our 17th wedding anniversary so we had a day out.

Visited Tantallon Castle near North Berwick. Stunning old ruin with great views.

Had a great girls night out at the Priscilla, Queen of the Desert stage show in Edinburgh with my pal and her daughter.

My ticket was part of my Christmas present from them.

My godson absolutely loved these overalls I converted into a personalised astronaut flight suit for his birthday. There is an astronaut on one arm and the Scottish flag on the other, as well as the nasa and name patches on the pocket

I was told there was a fight at bedtime to get him to take it off

Experimenting with a new toy - a drop spindle!

Finding new ways to use my scrap yarn ends for something other than stuffing.

The carding brushes separate the yarn into fibres which I then spin together to make a unique yarn.

For strength, I made it double-ply and crocheted it into my blanket.

That's all my Gaelic felt Christmas decorations sold out. I've been pleasantly surprised by how popular they have been.

Should I make more for next Christmas?

In the meantime, check out my other decorations and some other items still on sale in my Etsy store

I'm both sad and happy that all these little felt puddings have now sold out in the sale on my Etsy store.

But there are plenty of other cute little felt decorations still waiting for a new home with 40% off.

And I'll have to make more puddings for next year.

Woke up to this today.

It wasn't forecast for here.

We've had to cancel our New Year's Day dinner plans as worried we won't get home when this freezes later.

Now the soft toys are asking if they can build a snowman.

Hubby needed some dairy-free sponges for a New Year's Day trifle

So I made some cupcakes too. First time in ages.

Centre ones are dairy-free vanilla sponge and butter icing with gold edible glitter and sprinkles

Outer ones as above but also decorated with tablet crumbs and mini gingerbread men

It's been a while since I received any reviews in my Etsy store and then I get three 5-star reviews in a week.

Here is the latest one I received today. Thank you to my lovely customers.

Someone took the time out of their Christmas day to leave me a lovely 5-star review on my Etsy store.

Store is still closed for the holidays though. Will be back early January.

Oh boy! It was a race against time today.

Another crochet blanket finished ready to gift tomorrow for Christmas.

I was cutting it fine though finishing this one.

The label being attached is always the last thing to do.

Yesterday we took the wreaths made last week to the cemeteries, and got caught in a hail storm.

Then I slept 13hrs straight and would have slept longer but the loud mother-in-law appeared.

Today, with hubby assisting, we made various truffles and fondants.

White choc done, dark choc after dinner.

The label being sewn on signifies a project is finished.

This double-yarn crocheted blanket is now wrapped up ready to give to my lovely sister-in-law when she visits tomorrow.

It was the annual wreaths and festive centrepieces making day yesterday, hosted at my best pal's house this year.

I made 4 wreaths and 2 centrepieces. One wreath for myself and the rest for the cemetery.

One festive centrepiece for our house and the one with the angel is for my stepmum.

What's your favourite?

And my little individual cakes.

There would be riots if I didn't make these each year.

A mix of 4 styles.
December 13, 2024 at 2:25 AM
Next, my small 5 inch boozy Christmas cakes.

I only made two this year.

For a scandi look this year, I decided to use dove grey coloured icing. Not sure if I'll use this colour again. I prefer white or ivory.
