Did they say its because they don't want to be political and want to keep X links because its a good source of content? I mean, do they realize if all users go to bsky then all the X content will follow?

In some cases I imagine people do this because people are inclined to believe extraordinary events must happen because of extraordinary reasons and therefore must require extraordinary solutions. It's a fallacy.

It's intentional. More polarizing content = more engagement. Instagram has gotten really bad, and it's impossible to successfully report anything because they, like Twitter, want extreme content to keep people off their competitor's platforms.

We might be in a honey moon phase. I'm sure there's several tipping points where quality replies plummets as site usage and user count goes up. I'm really hoping bsky is ready with moderation tools and human mods.

Imagine the implications on early human civilizations and how it would probably incorporated it into religion (like the moon and sun are), and what kind of impact that would have on modern society.
